A CATCHY TITLE

Baptist by choice.

Some years back, after becoming a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Mesquite TX I woke up one morning and it dawned on me -- I was a Baptist.

Quite a revelation to someone who was raised in the Church of Christ before the truth of God's word was revealed to me.

I am a Baptist by choice -- or at least a Calvary Hill Baptist by choice, for this is the first church I have ever found that teaches the Word of God in all its purity.

More about that at future dates -- but Saved By The Grace Of God.

Now that I had no choice in.

Eons before the universe was ever framed Jesus told God that He had selected me -- He wanted me and I would be His.

He bought me on Calvary and now I am His.

Nothing can ever change that -- Jesus did not pay the price I cost just so I would "have a chance to be saved" -- He paid the price so I would be His, totally and completely.

It is a wonderful thing to be able to awaken each morning and have my first thought to be that I can hardly wait to see what God has in store for me today.

For every job I am given -- every task I am asked to perform -- is simply God opening a doorway and allowing me to have a part in what He is getting ready to accomplish.

Does God need my help?

Not on your life.

But through His magnificent Grace he allows me to take part in some of the things He accomplishes.

And that makes life really worthwhile.
